Dark Days by Kate Carr
Dusk, nights, bats and shadows are the stuff of Dark Days.
Based on field recordings from my childhood home near Toohey Forest in Brisbane, Queensland as well as takes from St Georges Basin on the south coast of New South Wales, the album is an exploration of forgotten spots, murky rivers and shifting coastlines. A graffiti ravaged
water tower, a disintegrating island made of rubble, the sound of salt and fresh water colliding in muddy streams, dirt, decay and darkness.
