World Class Thugs is an eclectic band that brings many different sounds to the table. The thugs run the gamut from carousel music, jug-beat folk, and roots-rock, to post-punk melodies and low desert tales of sorrow. Besides guitars, drums, bass, and vocals, instruments in one show may include: tung-drum, squeezebox, washboard, flute, trumpet, saxaphone, mandolin, banjo, clarinet, accordion, harmonica and keyboards. Gritty Americana and sinuous, meditative atmospheres slide effortlessly into each other, always with a bottled-up impetuous intensity just this side of an explosion: a feel-good emotional carnage the whole family can brood along to.
