Bio

Underground Mafia is a group consisting of tenor sax, trombone, double bass and drums. The group was born in 2009 driven by the need to find a point of balance between written and improvised music.

In their creative dynamics, the scores function as a starting or finishing point but are always exposed to modifications arising from collective improvisation.

The color of this quartet is as dominated by the tradition of Jazz and Blues, as by Free Jazz.

It is made up of saxophonist Hernán Samá, trombonist Francisco Salgado, drummer Sebastián Groshaus and double bass player Iván Viaggio.
