NEXUS001, the first release on Techno Nexus, introduces:

PRK (obscure) — agateline (UK) is a virtual raver and avant-gardist from the UK and the owner of MUTABLE—a VR event series and accompanying pseudo-label for marginal sounds https://mutable-editions.bandcamp.com/

M — Munks (JPN) is a trackmaster, DJ, and more. He has previously released music on the techno label Plus Records. Additionally, he contributed a track to the compilation ASA-CHANG & Junray – Hana: The 20th Anniversary Remixes, among other projects. In VRChat, he plays a significant role in the operation of experimental music group no9 and techno project Club Monolith.

Tickling the Dragon’s Tail — Sineva (UK) is a techno producer, live performer, and DJ who creates all music on hardware synths, favoring mysterious soundscapes, driving energy, and a hint of retro FM flavors.

Niebla InternaI — EQNX (CHL) is a techno producer and sound explorer from Santiago, Chile, known for his hypnotic and obscure music. His compositions blend dense textures and atmospheric layers, creating immersive sonic landscapes. Influenced by local underground club culture his sound strikes a balance between raw physicality and introspection.

ame (otodub remix) — uepon (o.to/otodub) (JPN) is a producer/DJ based in Osaka, Japan. With roots in Rebel/Black Music and Dub, he continues to explore a variety of sounds, from Minimal and Industrial at his own event, depth, to Ambient and Chill at a.m. This track is a Dub Remix of uepon - ame https://www.beatport.com/ja/track/ame/20615861, released by Fearless Recordings in 2025. https://linktr.ee/o.to_otodub.

Discofoot Silver Medalist — spaced (FIN) is a producer, live electronic artist, and DJ from Helsinki, Finland. He is genre-agnostic, with roots in ambient, IDM, and breakbeats. You can find him at mixcloud.com/spaecd and soundcloud.com/spaecd.

Blue Caracao — Nyolfen (JPN) is a track producer and DJ based in Tokyo, known for his production and live performances across various genres, including techno, house, electronica, and IDM. He joined Diverse System’s AD:HOUSE series in 2022. In 2024, he expanded his activities by releasing two EPs: Darkroom EP and Gugute Le EP, which feature minimal techno and hard techno tracks.

Freefall 12 AM — cakespray (US) is an East Coast-based producer and DJ and disciple of the “Hardcore Continuum.” He has a strong focus on creating percussive, groove-driven techno and bass music, contributing to the evolving landscape of electronic music.

Venus Dancers — vcfox (JPN) is a composer, DJ, and live machine act based in Tokyo. He performs machine live sets and supported Hardfloor’s tour in Japan. He began DJing in VRChat during the pandemic and is the organizer of the Composer community called Sound Geek, where he also provides music for events and virtual worlds. One of his DJ mixes was selected for NTS Supporter Radio. Currently, he is active in both real and virtual spaces, with a style that is deeply influenced by Detroit techno.

Double Figure — hexe.exe (US) is a poet and artist from NYC. She makes experimental dance music for the international virtual club.

Still Like a Dream Go By — Unlike Others (SWE), also known as Zime Infinity, began in the 1990s by experimenting with basic Casio keyboards connected to guitar effect pedals. Over time, Unlike Others’s sound evolved and became heavily influenced by the IDM scene. Unlike Others continues to experiment and is currently working on a new IDM project in VRChat called Xtal.

TECHNO NEXUS is a virtual reality festival dedicated to showcasing the raw, unfiltered essence of techno, celebrating its true artistry in opposition to the increasingly commercialized side of the genre. The focus is on authentic, experimental styles and fostering a space for resistance against the mainstreaming of techno culture.
