On the 6th of January, I lost one of my oldest, dearest friends, Mike.
He passed away very suddenly, with no warning.
I'd known him since I was four years old, we went to primary school together, and then on to high school after that.
We grew up together, and never lost contact.

Since our early teens, we wrote music, and lots of it. It came so naturally for us both, riffs and melodies would flow nicely, and ideas would just bounce off each other.
It was extremely fortunate that we were both able to sing, thus enabling us to create some beautiful vocal harmonies.
The kettle was always hot, and so was the music.
I've spent the last month or so digging through hard drives of endless wav files, trying to find all the music we made together.
Some of it, unfortunately, couldn't be salvaged, but a lot of it could.
I have remixed what would have been our debut album, the way it was supposed to sound.
It was, and is, a bittersweet experience, because he would love how they sound now!
Mike gave me 25 years of friendship, I have so many brilliant memories from over the years, so much awesome music, and for that I am eternally grateful.
