mandara by Scotch Howard

Scotch Howard's first album, Mandara takes us on a journey into waves of psychedelic manifestation, which is the inspiration, emotion, and music that is the ghost of Scotch Howard. Through analog/rhythm synthesis and a search for new direction, the Scotch Howard project was conceived in the north woods, then brought to Los Angeles a year later for its birth into inner-space. Mitra found Scotch recording in the basement of an old sewing factory in downtown Los Angeles, and had he not stepped in and convinced Scotch to be produced there is a good chance that the sound of Scotch Howard would have been kept private. Mitra proved to be a witch doctor of sorts, able to trap the wild ghost of the Scotch Howard sound, and brought that spirit into a solid form. Hugs from Amma, DMT, and courage inspired the rest.
