Sun Sounds by Kerm Stiles

I recorded this series of tunes with a full-fledged desire to continue a solo career after moving from Denton, TX to Austin, TX. I quickly found myself in a large(r) city with few contacts and an even less desire to build something from scratch.

My perspective of the ATX music scene of the 2010's also killed my desire to share my art. Denton was a place of community and Austin felt more like (to me) a space of competition and sucking up (aka networking). I just didn't have the mental or physical space me to do that (and I still don't).

So with that, this is my attempt at goin solo; deeply laced in bad recording techniques and maybe a few splashes of creativity. It's packed full of Denton love, personal love, and a really strong hatred for the daily drudge of corporate office jobs. They really do have us - and the creative and artistic potential within all of us - in a stranglehold, fam.
