Demo Tape by Firebird Roadkill

Back in 1987, Bjornstar recruited road battled Thrillhammer to complete his four piece power metal unit and decimate the glam metal saturated scene that lorded over the airwaves at the time. From busking the mean streets to endlessly touring through Europe and South America, the band was hardened to the rigors of the rock and roll dream. Neither the polished act and sound they generated nor the sweat soaked dance floors they left in their wake gained them entrance into the mainstream of North America’s pussy ass hair metal dominated scene.

As is the case with so many casualties of the 80’s metal scene, Fire bird roadkill went down swinging but never broke past 700,000 records sold worldwide with their total discography of 3 EP’s and 2 full length albums.

Dissolving under the mighty grunge hammer that was the early nineties, the pair went separate ways to pursue other interests, endeavors and passions.
As the radio play and royalties dried up, both road weary rock warriors were forced to find other ways to keep the lights on and their families fed. Thrillhammer’s countless bastard children had him hawking the majority of his guitar collection. Bjornstar faired better, pouring his passion for writing into books of dark poetry and ghost writing for a myriad of eastern bloc cult leaders.

Fast forward to 2019; The boys got back together over a backyard goat BBQ and a few flagons of honey mead to release the buried demos that never made the cut at the time.

The result is the 2020 release, Demo Tape.
