Practice Cassette by Destroying Babel

Destroying Babel was a hardcore punk band from Minot, North Dakota that existed from June 1997 to November 1997. The band was heavily influenced by bands such as Doom, I-Spy, Rorschach, and Born Against, and many others. They played a handful of shows around Minot before breaking up while working on songs intended for a split 7" with Sbitch (from El Paso/Austin, TX).
This recording is from a practice tape consisting of two sessions: one of the first practices at Aaron's house when Brad was singing, and, later, at Aaron's house again, when we were a three piece before Brad rejoined the band and split vocal duties with our friend Josh Rupert (who is not featured on either recordings).
The recording was done on a Sony (or Panasonic?) single cassette recorder with just a built in condenser mic, which was placed in the sweet spot in the room which was found after a couple of test recordings.
Many thanks goes to Jason Brown for the digital transfer of the cassette that BJ has held onto for years in storage, and to Aaron's parents, Barry, and Jill (R.I.P), for letting us make so much fucking noise in their home long ago.
