Two transcending dancefloor gems by the highly talented multi-instrumentalist Daidu. With synths arranged to propel you skywards, again and again.
After contributing to the Black Gravity Rhythms compilation on San-Kofa Rhythm Records, Daidu makes his EP debut on United Identities with two signature tracks that feel familiar, but shred convention.
Arpenin is a chapter-spanning, in-your-face 909 roller, driven by bouncy basslines and mutating arpeggios, building to several atmospheric synth liftoffs. The shape-shifting Circular Discontinuity blends Daidu’s key and percussion jams, gradually evolving into a rich electronic sound, propelled by synths that reach an intense summit.
The Amsterdam-based Afghan-Dutch artist has been channeling his passion for music through DJ sets, productions, edits, and on the dancefloor for over a decade. After years of experimentation, Daidu has found his remarkable production approach – never static, sometimes odd, always on point.
