Waiting by Northern Star

Since Haidee and Dave formed Double Star (back in the Spring of 2016) they’ve also had a side project bubbling along on the back burner. Inspired by artists like the Latin Playboys, Money Mark and Suzanne Vega–they have been crafting bluesy, lo-fi, drum-machine-driven tracks on and off for the last 9 years. For this release, they both brought in friends to help fill out the sound. Dave brought in fellow Morningside Music student Dave LeCraw to play organ and electric piano on "Waiting" and Haidee brought in her Invisiblink (Haidee’s prior band from Portland, OR) band member Erik Martin, to play bass and pedal steel on "It’s in Front of You". We hope you enjoy!

Music made for driving at night contemplating existence... or doing dishes in your tiny (but well-decorated) apartment, Northern Star is the lo-fi bluesy side project of Haidee and Dave from Double Star. This is their first release. We hope you enjoy!
