Alone Again from Gozzie by Z is for Zilla

This is a song I wrote in June 2011, right after the first time I'd ever asked Gozzie not to get on a plane and, instead, just stay with me longer. He left, and I picked up my guitar and recorded this on my phone.

The song doesn't have lyrics - the words on the recording were made up on the spot as I sang them. I haven't played it again since. The song
only exists in its own moment in time.

Months later, I sent it to Gozzie and told him that he needed to leave me alone. "Trust me, I am doing this for us - it will be better for us both this way - you need the space from me and I need to do the things I've wanted to do. Leave me be and everything will work out for the best."

Z is for Zilla is a singer-songwriter who has performed across the world both solo and in various bands (notably, May Fled, Who Shot Holga and We Wanted to be the Sky). She is now based in Washington D.C. where she is recording her next EP.
