I: Welcome. Glad we could do this.

ZM: (...)

I: So. How do you continue to find the nerve to keep releasing so much heroically insufferable skunky, puny filth?

ZM: (laughs) It's just for fun.

I: Hmm. I don't mean to offend you. I actually almost am wiling to like some of your work--if you can call it that.

ZM: I don't really feel flattered. But thanks.

I: No, I liked...uh, on your heels, for instance.

ZM: Yeah, thanks. That one worked out alright.

I: But you ever thought of getting a band?

ZM: (...)

I: Right...Well...ok, so what's your recording process like?

ZM: I sit down and I see what happens.

I: (Laughs) It shows

ZM: Like I said, it's just for fun. Something this interview isn't.

I: I've actually listened to all your albums.

ZM: I'll mail you an award.

I: When I get it I'll let you know what it feels like to get something you never will.

ZM: (looks around like looking for permission to escape from his agent but since no one's there, rips off mic, flings it at interviewer, and walks out)
