Rogue Devotee by Tradre Joe (aka Zeke Saadiq)
This album is a project that my girlfriend at the time got me involved in. She knew I rapped, and knew I was trying to do something with it, so she got me on the roster for the Nevada NORML 4/20 Event. Yes folks, a 4/20 show. Hence, the release date of 4/20 that year. Anyways, the show fell apart and I didn't get to perform, but listening to this album now brings back memories. I was pretty spiritual, but pretty thuggish. I came up with my own interpretations or understandings of various scripture. I was definitely a "nomad", and a rogue. Lost Devotee was the one who gave me the name Rogue Devotee. I was definitely on an Angel of Death kick. I felt very connected to that mood. God's warrior kind of thing. I was living in San Diego at the time, so I picked up on a lot of my old Cali ways from my younger days. Actually though, half the project was recorded in Vegas. My emcee name had been Tradre Joe for years, so I was running with it. I'm still that Rogue Devotee though. Enjoy! - Zeke Saadiq [aka Tradre Joe]
