Mandolin Metal by Zarochi
This summer I decided to take some time to learn a few folk songs; I wanted to create an arrangement of each to release them online for everyone to hear! There was only one problem. Should I arrange the songs as the original folk versions or folk metal versions?
In the end, I couldn't choose! As a result we have two sister albums, Mandolin Melodies and Mandolin Metal featuring the same songs done in different styles. The former is the folk version of the songs, and the latter is the metal version!

Zarochi is a multi-instrumentalist based out of Lansing, Michigan who focuses on blending traditional Irish Folk and Americana Bluegrass elements with a Heavy Metal sound. She draws influence from a number of bands including Metallica, Children of Bodom and Eluveitie.
