Florian Kolb is a multi-instrumentalist based in Switzerland. (On this work he plays “Akousmandoura”, a traditional bagpipe in Greece.) He works energetically on various fields such as improvisation and contemporary / baroque music. Thanos Polymeneas-Liontiris is a Greece-based musician who plays a unique double bass with a feedback equipment. In 2021, he released [Widdershins] with Spyros Polychronopoulos and Iakovos Pavlopoulos on Room40.
[otolith] is the name of a structure of vestibular system in the inner ear. This work is over 40 minutes long in total and is comprised of psychedelic sustain sounds, primarily acoustic. The magical sounds of a bagpipe and the low tones of a double bass amplified by feedback overlap to create a flow of varying intensity, drawing the listeners into a deep trance.

Thanos Polymeneas-Liontiris
Thanos Polymeneas-Liontiris is an Athens-based artist and researcher working at the intersection of sound, feedback systems, and intermedia performance. His practice engages feedback not merely as a technical phenomenon, but as a method for generating form, presence, and instability—resulting in music compositions, durational performances, interactive installations, and collaborative works. Before returning to Greece in 2018, he studied and worked in the Netherlands, Spain and the UK. He is a member of the Music, Acoustics and Technology Lab (LabMAT) and Assistant Professor in Music-Making and Interactive Media at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
