This album embodies a profound journey of self-discovery, illuminating a deep search for purpose and meaning, as a musician and as a human being.

Five years ago, when I began talking to Bridget, I never imagined the silent struggle of music performance anxiety would be something I would have to confront. Yet it quickly became clear that it played a significant role in my daily life. Facing this truth was intimidating, but I was determined—I was ready to start the hard work to change my internal experience.

The music you will hear on this album is the representation of years of introspective work, influenced by my upbringing, the socio-cultural trials passed down by my country, the invaluable mentors who have guided me, and the unique challenges I’ve encountered as a Black woman.

The illustrations in this booklet depict my interpretation of personal metamorphosis. They journey from caterpillar through chrysalis and finally to butterfly, symbolizing the transformative stages of self-discovery and growth. My newfound self-assurance and the courage to step into the spotlight came from exactly this type of transformative process.

I am immensely proud to share this milestone production with you. This music transcends mere sound; it serves as a catalyst for personal transformation and growth. My hope is that it inspires you to believe in yourself and fearlessly pursue your dreams and personal development.

Her musical journey has carried her from Canada to Southeast Asia and now to the United States, always guided by growth, artistry, and a deep desire to share her music and love of life. Far from home, she continues pushing boundaries, blending rich influences with masterful improvisation, establishing herself as a leading, inspiring voice in modern Latin jazz.
