Raised outside of Philadelphia and studied in Montreal, Zach Fischer is a multifaceted composer and improviser. Fischer has studied with Ben Monder, Reinier Baas, Jesse van Ruller, Dick Oatts Gary Thomas, Dave Manley, Kenny Bibace and Kevin Hanson. Compositionally, Fischer draws from sources as varied as post-bop, indian classical music, cuban music and modern classical music.
