It’s just an illusion, a short moment of fulfillment when I think of you

You are a forbidden fruit hidden in a tree
I’d love to pick you, but I’d burn my fingers
You’re glowing in the dark like hot volcanic ash
Glimmering in reddish tones
Oh my fiery heart
Why do we chase after what we can’t have?

A bird sings songs of the sea
The wind sings songs of the sea
The wind forms small bubbles in the water
Seaweed dances around the cliffs
Dark shadows reflected on the surface of the blue

And I ask myself
Does the seagull think it’s lonely?
