Avraham by Yotzeret Sheydim
Avraham is my Hebrew deadname, assigned to me by family and congregation.
The cover text translates to:
"My name is my own. G-d does not speak it. I am not the name Avraham."
This is an album about growing up trans and Jewish. An album about names. An album about prayers and promises. An album about casting aside old traditions and forging new ones. An album about reclaiming faith. An album written and recorded by Desdemona Ill in the Winter of 2021.
