Constança’s high spirited and exuberant energy instantly transports you to the vivacious street parties of Recife and Olinda during their carnival season.
The upbeat percussion rhythms and the joyful childhood memories layered into the storytelling style of the lyrics invoke a transcendent, supernatural and sublime atmosphere, inspiring an expansive feeling of freedom for any listener!

Constança is a tribute composition that envelops diverse aspects of Afro Indigenous Brazilian culture & folklore. It exalts four Brazilian folkloric heroes: Curupira- the guardian of the forest; Saci Pererê- a magical trickster; Comadre Florzinha- a girl child of the natural world and defender of its animals and the Caboclo de Lança- warrior and protector of the Maracatu Rural from the North East of Brazil (featured in the photograph on the cover art of CONSTANÇA single).
