Ocean Alley is the second single from XIII Nights.

It is 1987, more precisely 1987 Florida. Sunset time is approaching. We climb into our Ferrari Testarossa, put on our aviator sunglasses and power up to head out on the road along the ocean, on a trip just to enjoy the view and smell the petrol inside the cockpit of our Italian marvel. And it is there that a feeling of lightness and well-being pervades us. We are happy. The view is breathtaking. The sound of the 12-cylinder is music to our ears. The salty smell is intoxicating and the sun is drowning inside the ocean giving the sky a warm and wonderful colour.

Ocean Alley is a tribute to a state of mind that many of us have only been able to experience through the films and TV series of the time. The second single from XIII Nights perfectly captures this kind of emotion and fully represents the Synthwave style and soul in its purest form. The warm, raw sounds of the analogue era mixed with new production techniques create the perfect balance of what we can define as Synthwave music.

Matteo Berto, known as XIII Nights, is a musician and composer from northern Italy. He primarily developed as a modern bassist and jazz double bassist, actively participating in various ensembles. In August 2024, he released his first synthwave single for Aztec Records UK, marking his debut as a composer.This began his journey into the world of retro synth music inspired by the sounds of the 80s.
