In the middle of the cold dark night
Woke with shivers running down my spine
Realised that love was far behind
And it was time to move on

Packed my bags before the mprning light
Kissed you while you slept and said goodbye
Never saw myself the leaving kind
But id been lonely too long

I tried so hard to make you see
But it was never you it was always me
Although i gave my love unconditionally
The least i thought was you could give some back to me
The years flew by and now i find
I should have paid attention to the signs
No longer bound by the ties that bind
I finally found myself the leaving kind

I washed the dishes and i cleaned the floor
Like i’d done a million times before
Then i put the keys back through the door
With a note that read like this

Our life together had its ups and downs
I loved you too much so im leaving now
I’m heading back down to the lost and found
Then i sealed it with a kiss
