Medicine Man by Words of Phrase

Addiction is a beast that has affected me personally as well as many people I love for my entire life. "Medicine Man" is a back and forth conversation with myself and that addiction that haunts the depths of my mind. The eerie production that sets that tone is handled by none other than the legendary MC/Producer/Author Blueprint. I listened to this beat on repeat for over a year letting every feeling and those horns consume me but no words would release. Then as I addressed more of the issues within my self the words all started to flow out of me. This song is one of the most cathartic I've written. I hope this can help offer healing to others that live or once lived with the habits. A better life and mindset is always possible.

Words of Phrase was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia and then moved to Maine as a teen, eager for his voice to be heard. He developed his unique flow, stylistic delivery and personality from the vastly different climates. He was inspired by the poetic language of authors, poets, musicians and artists that rebel against the norm and embrace the independent art form.
