They came by for eggs the other day when they were here in

And they said Julia’s learning drums and playing well

And Lizzie’s doing better with her health

They’re just another family trying to make it in this world

They’ve worked hard and they’ve raised two two kids

A little boy and girl

Until the boy came out as trans

Then it was in their hands to make things right

Now the state of Tennessee has placed a ban

on anything in public drag or trans

Cause the new law on the books is affecting Cidny too

Cid said I never thought I’d ever want to leave

But they don’t seem to want me in the state of Tennessee

He’s just another grandad trying to make it through this life

Four grandkids in Maine a sweet and loving wife

Cidny once was Cindy but they had to make that change

Meanwhile back in Tennessee
