I was involved with a prophetic worship group for about 6 months. During that time, we prayed that unity would come to the body of Christ. Jesus said that if He was lifted up, that He would draw all men unto Him. Not another church program. Not another philosophy. Not another church being planted...but that the cross of mercy. We prayed for God to be lifted up. When I wrote this song, I was praying and telling God that He could break out of the box that even I put Him in. I was saying that no matter what happened, that He could be lifted up and that the way that we did that was to be together in unity.
