Rotten Fruit is an album born from spontaneity, written entirely in a single day with tracks composed in order. Every odd-numbered track serves as a segue, experimenting with textures and undefinable instrumentation, leading into fuller, more structured pieces. The result is a collection of cinematic, glitchy soundscapes infused with analog basslines and danceable rhythms. Influenced by Cevin Key, The Orb, Autechre, and Aphex Twin, Rotten Fruit is both experimental and accessible, blending synth-pop, New Wave, and musique concrète.

"Psychosurgical" sets the tone with a bubbling analog bassline and dancey, four-to-the-floor rhythm driven by digital arpeggios. "A Cold Day In July" brings a cinematic John Carpenter vibe, mixing atmospheric pads with breakbeats and glitch textures. "Animal Bytes Man" adds mysterious storytelling elements with treated drum machines and sparse bassline chops, while strings heighten the drama.

"Acceptance" introduces synth-pop elements with a DX7-like FM synth line, evolving into a New Wave groove with vintage drum machines and arpeggiated basslines. "Falling Bells" layers 808 beats with offbeat basslines and DX7 plucks, while "Rotten Fruit" stands as the album’s most club-ready track—tense, danceable, and driven by bubbling analog bass.
