Kadina from Silent Thunder by Volker Goetze / Christian Torkewitz

The final song “Kadina” is inspired by the challenges of seafaring and by three of Christian's ancestors, who worked on steamships and traveled around the world at the beginning of the 20th century. "Kadina" was the name of a ship that was in service in southern Australia until the beginning of the 20th century. Christian is a multi-instrumentalist and our piano duo was created in 2001. The rhythmic and harmonic details that Christian put into this album make it a unique and rich studio recording.
