Russell/Norman’s Helix is a synthesis of digital keyboard soundscapes and live performances on analog guitars and pianos. It is an homage to the original inhabitants of the crossroads of Ambient Ave. and Rock Blvd., artists such as Fripp/Eno, Tangerine Dream, Can, and Steve Roach. The music is intended to act as a soundtrack for the languid daydreams, existential crises, and psychic travels that you might experience on a day-to-day basis. Please enjoy responsibly.
Chris Russell is an established ambient recording artist based out of LaSalle, IL. In addition to numerous solo works, he has also collaborated with numerous artists from around the world.
Erik Norman is a musician from Sandwich, IL. He has toured the country as the guitarist and keyboardist of the folk/rock group The Giving Tree Band.
