Small Talk by Oren Frank, Hovav Ben-Sadia

"Small Talk" is a tribute to the jazz music we have been inspired by along our musical path. It is a tribute to the jazz standarts, and to the great musicians who have preformed them and influenced us.
Some of them have played in a duo format most inspirationally.
Our weekly sessions at the wine bar " Bakbukim " ( "Bottles") enabled us to create a musical dialogue that is built upon listening, reacting, and common musical language.
The duet format and the absence of bass and drums, gave us, besides the challenge, an opportunity to create an intimate musical language that is free and unique.
And indeed, the jazz gigs at "Bakbukim" created a few magical moments…
These moments supplied the motivation and inspiration to record this CD, as we tried to capture these moments. Because of this, we recorded it over the course of one day. Most of it was recorded in one take, as if in a live performance.
