SCOOP005 EP by Vibronics
Featured here are two bass-bin bashing jump-up riddims, originally produced by Steve Vibronics for Sound System use only. They are mixed extra raw to leave space for the blazing sirens, chanting MCs and sound effects that are synonymous with the UK Roots Sound System experience. ‘Prophets’ tempers a punishing bass-line with ethereal atmospherics to create a truly mighty dub-plate sound. On the flip ‘Fisherman’ computerises that infamous Lee Perry/Congos melody from back in the day and turns it into an innovative slice of hi-tech roots.
