Altered States by Kupkă
With "Altered States", Kupkă presents a conceptual and highly personal album which documents a dark period of his life, marked by a long lasting illness and alienation.
In line with Werner Herzog's "ecstatic truth", the music on his album was mostly improvised and recorded in one take. This way, Kupkă takes the listener through an unspoiled journey through his process of recovery and self-determination, dotted with soothing ambient, frantic techno or stirring drone music.
