Purgatory by Simón del Desierto
It is an honor for Vertebrae to join forces with its brothers from Topillo Records and Discos Herejes to be able to print this gem of an EP that was only available digitally prior to this great collaboration. After some line-up changes, Carmen was replaced by well-known singer of the Barcelonan Doom scene: Gustavo (Lors of Bukkake, Cuerno, Arropiero). His personal style matches the dark and grim path the band has taken since “Ursaria”. We now present you the band’s MCD: 4 traditional Doom Metal tracks in the vein of the Maryland Doom scene that evoke bands such as Revelation, Penance or Pentagram.
Simon del Desierto reveal themselves as a wild and strange fowl within the scene; not only according to Spanish standards, but European ones. Don’t expect anything but slow, heavy and melodic riffs wrapped in an introspective ambiance that artist Carla del Palacio illustrated with great talent. This jewelcase edition, made only thanks to the collaboration of Discos Herejes, Topillo Records and Vertebrae, features a colored eight-page booklet. It is limited to 500 copies
