This is a collection of vignettes imagining a world 30 years from the present (2021), after the many worrisome, depressing, and catastrophic strands of today's world are able to run their full course.

It's a world where knowledge has finally become completely commoditized and hoarded as assets; where the largest corporate entities have devoured the state and deformed citizenship and rights into subscriptions and purchasable packages; where a minuscule group of the privileged few live in god-like splendor while the vast majority hustle, struggle, and fall into despair; where the dire scenarios of impending ecological collapse are reality, with the all too predictable result of flailing to squeeze one last bit of profit out of the Earth through coercion and force; where we collectively shrug our way into apocalypse.

And yet, despite all that, strands of desperate, yearning, undying hope still course through that brutal world, and a faint light still remains.
