We’ve always been obsessed with temperature and pressure, how they bend sound and even reality. With this album, we pushed our thermal layering and pressure mapping techniques further than ever. You’ll hear guitars detune and retune as if the air around them is changing, synthesizers chilled with liquid nitrogen stretching out notes into something otherworldly, and field recordings of actual thermal inversions pulsing through the tracks. It’s not just a sonic experiment; it’s the sound of the stations breathing. The story here follows a few renegade Conductors, caught between the Barons and the Nomads, trying to broker a truce by manipulating the very air inside a dormant station.
