I crossed the desert with a virgin bride
In cut off jeans and a smile so wide
It lightened up the sky above
As she leaped from the jeep into his arms

Dealing in tokens and memories
Souvenirs to hold dear
Dangling from his key ring chain

We climbed into the eye of the sleeping beast
Laid out in stone for all eternity

We danced on a ridge
Like a knife so sharp
Kicking up the soft sand
With our stubborn hearts
Are we free at last
Or are we on the run
Will we raise the winds
Or drift away
