Vanessa Wagner announces a new album and an international tour in 2022 !

After "Inland" in 2019, the pianist continues her exploration of the post-minimalist repertoire at the edge of several styles, between Brian Eno, Bryce Dessner, Nico Mulhy or Caroline Shaw. A project in the form of an invitation to an introspective and luminous journey, where the timbre of the acoustic piano resonates with purity and sensuality.

"My encounter with the post-minimal repertoire has opened up paths that I am keen to continue to explore. After Statea in collaboration with Murcof, and then Inland as a solo piano, I wanted to explore this little-known world again. This new album, recorded during the second confinement when all the rooms were closed, tells a lot about the solitude and heightened emotionality of that moment, through rare pieces with intimate and powerful atmospheres."

Born in Rennes, France, Vanessa Wagner began playing the piano at the age of seven. A prodigious talent, she earned First Prize at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. In 1999, she was named “Instrumental Solo Revelation” at the Victoires de la Musique Classique. Wagner’s career reflects a personality as bold as it is inquisitive.
