'In contrast to the idealised romance of "Lovin' You Easy," "I Fall" is, according to Vandi, about a real relationship she had, which "barely had a chance to take off" because of their respective busy careers. It's lyrics reveal the realities of wanting something more but never being in the right place. "It was this off-again-on-again relationship where we weren't really together, but he definitely had my heart...
