Standing atop the city's highest ledge, we planted our tattered banner while the undercity held its breath below – a moment captured in raw vocal layers and deliberate brass strikes that build toward something resembling hope.

"Run the map till the sky turns white" evolved from Goldstitch's personal mantra into our collective oath during those final recording sessions. When the entire crew chants this line together, you're hearing actual exhaustion in our voices – four months underground, surviving on vending machine coffee and the belief that these stories mattered. We recorded the chorus at 4AM after nearly splitting up over creative differences the night before.

The orchestration here intentionally contradicts itself – militant percussion marches beneath strings that refuse to surrender to cynicism. Scrawl insisted we keep the imperfections in the final mix; that crackling quality when the choir sample stretches isn't a mistake, it's the sound of something outgrowing its boundaries.
