First organized in 1961 as the “LVC Jazz Band” by students of the music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha as an extracurricular ensemble, the Valley Jazz Orchestra is Lebanon Valley College’s premiere 18-piece big band, performing a variety of contemporary jazz-related styles. VJO has toured, performed at festivals, and hosted several notable jazz artists at an annual spring jazz concert over the years.
