Repetitions by Valiska

I wrote this album after coming back from a trip to Poland in August 2014. It's about my relatives, the farm, the sea, trains and train stations, and other things. I took ideas about repetition and combined them with my experiences from the trip, and ended up with what to me is a very personal album. Two other tracks, 'Held' and 'Escape', were written for a collaborative work between Pamela Tzeng, Jenna Swift and myself called 'What is More'. They provided me texts, descriptions of movement and feeling, and then the music came from that. There was a lot of overlap between this album and that project, and seeing as they fit the mood and worked wonderfully with the flow, it only made sense to include them. I hope you enjoy it!
