UEMix by Urban Exploration

Influenced by the old school mixtape format, this recording presents previously unreleased (and largely unheard) cuts salvaged from the archives of the reclusive collective, Urban Exploration. Bookended by the ghostly hiss and detuned synths of extended ambient jams, and filled with off-kilter techno and electro, this mix forms a rare showcase of their heavier and more club-influenced materials.

Culled from long improvisations by the group, these dusty soundscapes and driving industrial rhythms have been carefully remastered and mixed here by the UE DJ. The resulting collection is in turns both noisy and dark, emotive, and surprisingly uplifting in places. Exhumed from the last 3 years of forgotten recordings, unrealised projects and late night sessions.
