Voidpak by Unstrich
This is the proto-mudi album that sparked it all with its old school skipping-CD pieces, a little over twenty years ago. Apart from a continuous tapping the CD player, a tape recorder interfering with one of the tracks, and a bit of reverb on another, they are basically unprocessed and allowed to proceed, stuttering, on their own accord.

Unstrich is the moniker of Nicklas Wiklund in Uppsala, Sweden. Slightly obsessed with indeterminacy, his musical output is nevertheless mostly uneventful. Recordings of his obstinately playing instruments and objects are layered without being coordinated. The result ranges from the discordant to the serene, but always quite unrefined. A music of intertwining and entanglement, straggly and frayed.
