Colophonia by Unstrich

Bows playing on various objects. Lines of unresponsive improvisations, conjuring disheveled, undulating non-melodies in a curiously equine music for the settling of a new apoikia in the wake of the Bronze Age collapse.

Unstrich is the moniker of Nicklas Wiklund in Uppsala, Sweden. Slightly obsessed with indeterminacy, his musical output is nevertheless mostly uneventful. Recordings of his obstinately playing instruments and objects are layered without being coordinated. The result ranges from the discordant to the serene, but always quite unrefined. A music of intertwining and entanglement, straggly and frayed.
