Depressive and uplifting; a journey of massive peaks and bottomless caves. Unreqvited’s take on post black metal is one that paints a canvas of musical diversity, with elements of expansive post-rock, tortured dsbm vocals, shimmering blackgaze melodies and grandiose orchestral segments.

With their debut LP “Disquiet”, Unreqvited lays down the foundation for their somber, melancholic sound by using hallmark principles of black metal like torrential blast beats and tremolo sparingly. Instead, opting for emphasis on melodies and synthesizers to invoke thoughts of frozen woodlands and a troubled internal state.

A warm lunar espouse contenting the short and final foremost gasp,
The inhale of the words of wind in song that Ye shall abandon the hallow skeleton,
The flesh and tissue, to evolve as a creature of no mass,
Suspended in the depth of an abyss where footsteps laid are that of nature,
Rather than the consciousness and embellishment of anthropomorphism,
And my corporal being preaches to allow the conjoin of scripture,
As I am subdued to metabolize the gout of humanity from my marrow.
But before I rid my being for eternity,
I am bid to join the winds of the wood in song:

Become the surreality of nature's bloom,
The oceans are your nerves, the trees, your eyes,
We are all partial to the conjure of time,
