Original 1996 Liner Notes:

"In April 2022, two guys from the midwest met a guy from Texas in Brooklyn, New York and spent the weekend making bizarre music from within the confines of Hobble Yonder East (an apartment near Prospect Park). That same weekend the three musicians experienced a transcendent moment of humanity at a dog park in Washington Square Park, and thus the three were dubbed "Ultimate Dog." The music then remained unfinished and unreleased.

In June 2022, the guy from Texas polished up 4 tracks from the sessions and put them out as part of The EP of The Month Club. The tracks remained available until the E.O.T.M.C went kaput in October. While two tracks wound up on a solo album of his with no mention of Ultimate Dog (strange), the rest were out of print. The music then remained unfinished and unreleased.

In January 2025, Ultimate Dog were preparing for their spring tour. Discussions of the "lost" self titled EP abounded, and as such, the band decided to rerelease it. After a session that month dedicated to overdubbing and a further session in March for vocals, the EP was remastered and released in April by the wonderful crew at Ballyhoo Records. The music was finished and released."
