Paranois\d is the first song to have been written, produced and released off of this album, way before there was even any thought of making any album. It was simply made - and then added to a little "collection" album on Bandcamp where I used to put random songs which are yet to be sorted into any album - appropriately called Other Things. Of course, this name caught on, and became the name of the eventual album which includes many of the songs from this random collection.
The song was conceived on 7th October 2015 and the vocals were recorded on that same day too, at my old family home, Erez 4, Savyon, Israel. The vocals were actually recorded without any backing track, only a metronome at 146 bpm, so they were sung by ear, and I was just hoping I'm singing in some key that makes sense, to which I could later add other instruments without it sounding out of tune. When I started mixing the song, and adding the other instruments, on 19th March 2016, It indeed appeared to be a little bit out of tune so I created a gentle automation for the pitch of the vocal takes, to match them with the rest of the instruments.
The track was finished and released on Bandcamp on 6th January 2017.

The name of the song was supposed to be "Paranoid", but I wrote "Paranois" by mistake (the "s" and "d" keys are next to each other), and when I tried to press the backspace key, I missed it too, which led me to the "\" key which was next to it on my keyboard (I think it's common for them to be next to each other on Hebrew keyboards). The letter "d" followed immediately anyway, which left me with "Paranois\d". I liked it, so I kept it. It wasn't the first time such a thing happened to me - a similar thing happened on my song "Thigs\\\\\Things I Like to Do", from my album Debris.
