Lyrics
it came to me on the first of spring
love no one beyond the one you see
and there she stood right in front of me
and i felt something that i can’t describe
like the first time feeling of a touching light
like the first ray shining through an endless night
and i remembered why the music is good
and i felt the sun shining out of my hood
i felt good like i knew i should
so i crawled back underneath the van
to change the gasket on the oil pan
and i flashed back to a former life
i was the mother of two and a pilot’s wife
and i felt something that i can’t explain
as i watched the children running out of the rain
a love so much it was close to pain
and that i flashed me back into my current life
where the radio said “a cure for death”
well i won’t line up with all the rest
i like the way i was designed
and i wanna find out what’s on the other side
