With Forty Sixing, Levels of I aka Gustav Meyer-Belitz, a long-time friend and supporter of Turnland, has created a debut release that not only pushes genre boundaries but also blurs them with his detailed productions. Here, percussive beats meet dubby techno elements that blend with deep pads and old-school chords. Despite the broad genre mix, Gustav manages to create a coherent narrative through consistent and compelling sound design. Forty Sixing is catchy and club-ready as an EP without losing its melancholy and depth.
Full EP is released on the 12th of December 25.
