Entering Utopia by TuneTown

TuneTown came together as a co-operative band, amidst a flurry of creative activity in our respective lives and careers. As leaders of our own projects and contributing members/
composers for numerous other groups, the surprise came that we actually found time and creative energy for this new album, let alone our 2019 debut, There From Here! With our
producer Roman Klun, we are delighted to share our second album, Entering Utopia. It is a collection of original compositions and two standards, intertwined with freely improvised segueways and soundscapes.
As a chordless trio of saxophone, bass and drums, our work finds provenance in1the jazz tradition of legends including Sonny Rollins, Dave Holland and Elvin Jones. New avenues revealed through our compositional, improvisational and production processes allowed us
to explore and sometimes abandon these acknowledged influences, creating exciting possibilities for us as musicians. Weaving extended techniques, modern production values and sheer recklessness into a tapestry of music has been our labour of love. We hope that you, the listener, will revel in the sound as much as we have.

We are a chordless saxophone trio and a collective based in Toronto, Canada. We are Kelly Jefferson on Tenor Saxophone, Artie Roth on Bass and Ernesto Cervini on Drums. We have released 2 albums, "There From Here" and our latest release, "Entering Utopia" on Three Pines Records.
